GiDEL's PSDB PHY

Overview

GiDEL PSDB_PHY™ is a type 2 daughterboard (PSDB2) that adds 4 SFP ports of 1Gbps Ethernet networking to the PROC boards. Similar to any type 2 PSDB, PSDB_PHY uses two connectors to connect to the PROC motherboard. These connectors are located on the component side of the motherboard to the left and to the right of each FPGA device

PSDB PHY provides the following features:

  • Up to four 1Gbps pluggable Ethernet ports (copper RJ45 / fiber), implemented on small form factor pluggable modules (SFP).
  • Marvell 88E1145 Ethernet PHY
  • RGMII or GMII/MII MAC interface in FPGA.
  • SGMII interface for 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet Copper SFP*.
  • 1.25 GHz Serial High Speed Interface for Fiber Ethernet SFP*.
  • Single PHY control (MDIO) for all four ports or individual control for each port.
  • Automatic detection by hardware / software.
SFP items are not included in the PSDB_PHY package
